A relatively far-fetched cause for a steady-speed miss that I have
encountered involves Grose-Jets and the SU carb floats. If you have the
old-style floats with the bendable brass adjusting arm, this may apply.
If you do, reply and I'll go through the detailed explanation. At any
rate, the cure is to replace them with the all nylon type, and use shim
washers for adjustment.
