Ahhhh, I remember my last cone in the MG... but I digress...
back to paint jobs
I couldn't believe how much overspray there was on the seats and door
trim of my Primrose beast when I bought it. The car is ex-Californian I
believe but I am not really sure where it was re-painted (original
colour is still Primrose) but there was certainly very little care
taken, a real sloppy job, and there is one... just one... really
annoying little bubble on the bonnet which some accuse of being rust,
but no, it is just a real bad bit of paint!
I have found two general paint job prices here in Australia... the
$1,500 "cover all metal and hope it is an even colour all over" and the
$3,000 "nice job" (either end of that scale come the 'slap-dash' home
job and the double-your-mortgage concourse 'layer and laquer it until
it weighs half a tonne more and outshines the Sun').
