Ovalling certainly happens over time. I can imaging that a poor quality m/c
could oval in three months, but cannot really see it suddenly happening to
your existing pedal, unless you used a new clevis pin and it was highly
abrasive. Greasing should reduce it in future, although your first job may
be to remove the existing ovalling. My roadster has ovalling which has
affected clutch travel. I can live with it at the moment but have been
thinking about remedial work. I have heard tell of welding and drilling but
you would probably need a bench drill rather than a hand drill.
Overdrilling and sleeving could be a possibility.
