Harlan,
  It is almost as good as the label indicates, at least as far as taking
off oil goes.  For solidified grease, though, it may do the job but it
may also take a couple of lifetimes.
  You might call Town Office and ask if your dump has a collection site
for used solvents. Our town accepts small quantities from homeowners.
