Well - I've read so much of this North American geographic thread that I
can no longer excercise restraint. How about these beautiful Appalachian
Mountains in SW Virginia. I'm a displaced Minesotan and confess I still
miss the lakes and winters that are REAL winters. But my work has landed
me here for the last 22 years and I love it. Great mountain roads for the
LBCs, at least a few days of REAL winter, extraordinarily colorful autumn
scenery, lots of space (Craig County where I live has no interstates, not
even any US highways, no stoplights, and no fast foods). At 3,000 feet
altitude, even on 90-degree summer days, we have never had a summer night
when we weren't reaching for a blanket before the night was over. No air
conditioning - we just don't need it. And our Buckstove provides all the
heat we need in winter.

' Love the midwest and New England too, as well as Ontario, where we
regularly visit my wife's family in the '73B.

' Need all four of those seasons...

Allen
