midget door bars

Does anyone have any idea when BL began adding the side impact beams in the
doors?  I have a 72 midget with one smoothskin door and one with and extra
1/2" of steel on the inside.  Needless to say, there is a substantial
weight difference between the doors...

This is for a racing application, and as long as I can find some doors from
1968 or later without door beams, I'm in business.....
