I've run into a problem that is new to me. I've set the carbs, SU
AUD265s, to the datum settings and the engine runs with a rough idle.
I've got good spark at all plug leads. When I pull the plug wires from
one and/or two it barely makes a difference. If I pull even one plug
wire from three or four, it dies quickly. Also, when I lift the back
carb piston 1/8" it speeds up for a second, then dies. I can lift the
front piston 1" without much effect. Both float bowls have fuel, and
fuel is evident at both jets. If I introduce a vacuum leak to the
manifold the idle jumps up like crazy. What gives?
