No locating bushings. The caps will seat nica and square when torqued down.
Your proposed technique for starting the front and rear caps will work. Once
they are all the way down, be sure they are flush with the fore-and-aft
faces of the block where they seat. A tap with a hammer and a long punch
will enable you to get them flush before torquing them down.
