Tom,
  Cole-Hersee makes a disconnect switch that can be fastened into the
bulkhead directly behind the passenger seat.  Though it is easy for the
driver to reach, it is out of sight. The switch lever (only) is inside
the passenger space, while the switch itself is in the air space forward
of the battery.
