Hi Erik,

  I have a set of AUD-405s off of a '70 B.  The front float bowl cover
has 3 fittings, two long and one short; essentially two inlets (long)
and one vent (short).  The car had been desmogged and the xtra long
fitting was capped.  Perhaps on a different make of car the fuel line
came into the front carb and was connected to the rear carb by the other
fitting.  Beats me.  Anyone have a '70 B with all the smog equipment?
