Only problem with using the motor stands is they are too light for the stresses on them for the of metal and they sit awful low to use is you need to load on a trailer to go the paint shop or where ever else. Also the width of the bottom leg is not quite stable enough for my comfort especially when you are talking about something that you will have quite a $$$ and time investment in at that stage. (wouldn't that make you sick to watch your car hit the concrete from about 3-4 ft up after finishing the body and getting ready to paint ???) Better to design it specially for the task at hand in my opinion. Leo |
