Aaaargh!
"MG doesn't stand for Morris Garages, it stands for itself!" as someone once
said (Kimber? Thornley?) However it was *derived* from it.
The 'G' in MoWoG almost certainly stands for MG, since MG and Wolseley
joined Morris at the same time, which lead to the production of common
parts. 'G' is also the inital letter in all our chassis numbers, whereas
Morris used 'M' and Wolseley 'W'. Clausager says (in passing) the same,
whereas a spokes person from BMIHT said it stood for 'Group' when
specifically asked. However he then shot his credibility to pieces by
asking "but why would anyone want to know?". Has the man got no soul?
