Good guess, but it ain't so...When the PO of my car replaced the
fuel pump, he also replaced the hot wire to the pump. So, I have a
hot wire that runs inside the car from the fuse box. I left it that
way for a few reasons. I figured that somebody must have had a good
reason for replacing the wire in the first place. Second, the wire
is of a high enough gauge and was a pretty good installation. Not
only that, the wire is inside the car and out of the elements, which
also gives me a good place or two to hide a switch. ;) So, I can
state pretty securely that there is no special circuit giving me
power to the pump...
BTW, when I killed the switch with the car running, you could hear
the fuel pump stop it's clicking noises...
Thanks for the guess though...Would you like a Macanudo? ;)
