I agree, but even common internet jargon, or car jargon, sometimes confuses
me. The crack of doom has been discussed on the list before, and many
probably assume everyone already knows what it is. I've never seen the COD
(how's that for obscure?), and hope I never arise at the crack of doom, so
won't try to comment on it. When I first came onto the list, I was very
puzzled by the acronym YMMV. I tried forever to piece something together,
but all I could come up with was "You make me vomit". From the context, I
didn't think that could be correct. I ended up e-mailing someone and asking
what it meant. It then made perfect sense. LBC usually does mean little
british car, but according to some, it means Lousy BC if theirs is acting
out at the moment. or Loveable if it's going well. And the D in DPO is best
taken as "dreaded" although there are other D words to use.
