Fortunately my car doesn't have all the above problems. My new BL fuel tank
did leak slightly where the neck welds to the body. I repaired it with
"Quick Steel" on the car and containing gasoline but it ticked me that a new
tank would have such a flaw. I didn't bother to complain to the supplier
(Mario Bois) in Montreal as he was probably unaware although I should have.
The original tank leaked around the sender gasket and it seemed prudent to
replace the entire tank to avoid future rust problems.
My car does have a dented oil pan also but I blamed a PO for this.
I changed the centre hanger bearing because the rubber supports had
deteriorated. It was still functioning but it was 20 years old.
One of the tail lamp sockets needed to be cleaned but I assumed that years
of winter driving had caused that one.
I have so far been spared the other concerns on your list but my car is a
late model (77) and many of the earlier defects may have been eliminated.
For instance the fuel pump, carburetor, and emissions equipment are
identical to a similar vintage MGB.
