There seems to be a big difference among front springs, depending on who
makes them. Many sources, Moss, Vic Brit, etc, advertise front coil springs
that are supposed to lower a RBB by 1". A number of anecdotal reports
indicate that these may lower a B by anywhere from 1/2" to 2".

I contacted him about this, as I wanted to lower my RBB by 1". He seems to
have a good knowledge of whose springs actually do what, and his web site
has a goog tech article on B ride height issues. I spoke to him for quite a
while, and my my BS detector, which is usually set on high, failed to ring
off. I parted with enough cash to buy a set of front coils (the coveted red
with blue stripe units) from him. I haven't installed them yet, so I can't
confirm the results yet, and your mileage may vary, and I have no interest
in his shop, etc etc, but I say knowledge is power, so pick his brain.
