Niel, My wifes' MG-B roadster has done this . It was the front suspension bushings in a bad state of disrepair that caused the vibration. If left unattended you may notice some violent brake pulling,especially on wet or icy roads. One needs to examine the state of the bushings in your front suspension to assure that worn bushings are not the cause of your vibrations.
