Looking for help on a MG carb question. My girlfriend who lives 84 miles away
has a gas leak on her newly acquired 71 MGB and I'm trying to fix this by
phone at 10:30 at night! It has a HIF carb which has a rubber tube from the
float chamber to the jet. The fuel is leaking at the juncture of the rubber
tube to the jet. What secures this rubber tube to the jet? Can just the tube
be replaced or does the whole jet have to be replaced? Hose appears to be in
good condition, no hose clamp is present, should there be one? Any help would
be greatly appreciated.
