Just for reference, I had header wrap on the headers on my B-engined MGA for
22K miles (before I sold it) and had no problems at all. The new owner
hasn't reported any, either, and he uses the car regularly.

As to benefits, it did seem to reduce under-hood temperatures maybe a degree
or two..........
