Dystopia is an imaginary place which is depressingly wretched and
the people lead a fearful existence. Which is how the people lived in
George Orwell's novel "1984" lived. Also the novel where the slogan "Big
Brother is watching" came from.

OK Larry, maybe it's a result of all the lead fumes from when I
was, in my youth, a plumber's helper, but I can't find dystopian in my
dictionary. What's it mean?

ps School's seem to have dropped it, but 1984 is required reading
for my children.
