special preparation, just good clean surfaces. Supposedly it is extremely
strong. The commercial used the repair of an intake manifold. It can be
drilled and tapped. The only down side I saw was that it probably didn't
hand sand well so you would have to get a s close to final shape as
possible, use a grinder/electric sander.
Anybody else heard of this stuff?

I saw the same infomercial and was very curious.
We have an awesome hardware store near here and I know the manager. I spoke to
him about this product that I saw on TV. He said it sounded like something
they carried. He said they had'nt sold any in quite awhile. He got a
department manager over to us who quickly found the product. I bought two rods
at $2.00 ea.
I used one to weld two aluminium pieces of 3/4" X 1/8" together with a propane
torch for a project I was working on. It worked very well.
I also have an intake manifold with a stripped bolt hole that I plan on
repairing with that product. After using it on the flat stock, I have no doubt
that it will work.
