Y'know, I'm experiencing the opposite problem in my '74 B. With ambient
temperatures in the 90's, I can sit in traffic all day and the temp needle
won't budge from the middle of the 'N.' If I hit the highway and do 65 mph
or more for any amount of time, the needle creeps up about halfway between N
and H. When I get off the highway, I can drive for miles at lower speeds,
and the car will barely cool down (until it's shut off for awhile).

I'm guessing the corrosion in the radiator isn't letting the coolant
exchange heat when it moves through there too fast. My daily commute is all
2-lane roads, so I seldom get on the interstate, so fortunately this problem
doesn't bother me much.

Any opinions?

(A late thought. My throttle shafts are sucking wind. I wonder if that's
causing lean running at high speeds, making the motor run hotter?)
