Hi Gary,
Oil out of the dipstick is probably caused by the same thing that
pushes oil out of the breather, positive crankcase pressure. Usual
cause is worn rings allowing combustion gases to 'blow-by' the
piston into the sump. Could have some contribution from worn
valve guides ( exhast) but normally it's rings.
IMHO.
