I installed an Ignitor in my 1976 MGB this summer. The installation was a
lot simplar than trying to install a Crane (or Allison) in my opinion. I
was having problems with the installed Allison Ignition, or at least all of
ignition problems went away. I have a few hundred miles on it, but no
problems since the installation.
Note, my instructions said nothing about a positive ground system, but as
the ignitor has only two wires,I would imagine that it would work in a
positive ground system, by just reversing the connections, but you should
check with the manufacturer.
