One weekend, assuming you have all the tools and parts you will need.

You will require 8 V8/poly/etc bushings and probably two bushings for
the swivel pin + trunnion which will require reaming with a special tool.
Replace bolts, grease caps, cotter pins, distance tubes, etc.  Most MG parts
suppliers offer a front suspension rebuild kit with or without swivel pin.
Rebuild swivel assemblies can also be purchased.  Measure spring length and
if either is less than 9.8 inches long replace both (for pre 1974 cars at
least)

The original A-arm bushings self destruct rather quickly.  The V8 bushings
with hard rubber and steel inserts are preferred.  The nylatron bushings
have been rumoured to crack under torquing, and are pobably a pretty hard
ride.

I would recommend doing both sides at the same time.
