Chris,
It's probably best to re-torque the head after the initial run-in. (Ie.
after the engine has been cranked and allowed to stabilize at normal
operating temperature), and then at about 500 miles.
While some may think it's a "belts and braces" effort, it surely won't
hurt anything to be safe.
