In the land of too many bloody cars and not enough road, 12 bore is our
term for a shot-gun barrels size. We also have 4/10, 177, 2.2, and lots
of other wierd and wonderful, completely inaccurate terms for odd
things.
Such as ' leg before wicket', or ' off-side', ( in football).
