   I said I wasn't going to do this, dammit.  ;^)  

  Go look at the waveforms again.  The high voltage at the spark plugs
is negative in polarity.  Electron flow, being from positive to
negative, has to be from ground across the plug gap and into the
positive plate of the condenser.
