While on the subject of tonneaus, I had the metal zippers in mine replaced last year with nylon ones. No rust now. I also use the tonneau tucked behind the seats and merley extent the tonneau when leaving the vehicle for an extended period. I find that it helps to have the centre zipper undone when extending the tonneau to the dash. Each half can then be fitted individually and then zipped up to provide complete coverage.
