This afternoon I went to see a guy in Hartford CT who is selling three GT
project cars
a 67, a 70 and a 71 that had belonged to his father- the cars themselves
were fairly average, none has run in about ten years and although they
have been stored inside are a bit pricey for what they are....
however, over a period of many years, the guys father systematically took
apart what appeared to be 9 or 10 GTs, most of them early ones and
certainly all prior 72 plus a couple of roadsters and stored the parts in
his basement - all of this stuff has to be sold as the guys father is
retiring and wants to move.
There are 7 or 8 front ends, several rear ends, 3 or 4 engines, 8 or 9
transmissions
(no o/ds as far as i could see but i couldnt get at all of them)bonnets,
rear hatches, boot lids, doors, windows, about 20 leather seats -
literally everything you can think of plus five (yes five) metal
dashboards complete with instruments and a couple of steering columns
with banjo wheels. Boxes of other stuff, lights, knobs, bonnet pulls etc.
Its all pretty dirty - hasnt been touched in ages but those of you with
early cars might find the bits that are usually so hard to get.
Anyway, for what its worth, the guys name is Rick and his number is
(860)523-9626
Im sure he would mail or UPS stuff if anyone finds what they need -
Tell him i sent you! (no financial interest - just dont want to see all
this stuff wasted!)
