Just got a phone call from Rob over at MGT's in NJ to tell me my
beautiful Big-valved, 1/8" shaved high compression late TD head is
toast!!! Large unrepairable crack through #2 exhaust area.
Here I am trying to get a new cam installed for the big Watkins Day
weekend in Sept. and I get this set back. I offered up my spare early
1/2 reach small valved TC/TD head for a replacement, but it needs to be
completely redone.
I'd really like to find a TF head with the big valves already, rather
than putting money into the replacement one. Ideally, I'd go for one of
the aluminum heads with the big valves(Maybe down the road).
Can anyone help if they have a GOOD TF head for sale or know who has
one? Or one of the Aluminum jobbies?
Of course, this happens when we're heading out for vacation!
