Ok, sounds like we have a plan that may hopefully produce a product useful
folks' drives . AAA I ain't, but it may be a neat little project. I've got a
folder set up for collecting all the input and putting it into a useable
form for the internet. Driving these great roads isn't limited to us LBC
fanatics, you know, all the world can benefit.
Now here are some basic requirements so we don't get confused by statements
like, "Take a left at the old shack with the rusted out '58 Buick." Not that
anyone would do that, that's a specialty of us "hicks" (btdt). :)
1) Use Road numbers and main waypoints (cities, towns, etc.) Cardinal
directions help too. If I can't find it, I'll request more input.
2) If it's a REAL small road that may not be on your average map, be
specific on how to get to it from the main roads, and where it will hit
another main road in case a passenger starts getting sick (a personal
challenge of mine).
3) Include any good points of interest, landmarks, etc, just so we know
4) I've got a World Atlas, so this is an international collection! (who
knows, this archive may be really worth having someday!)
These aren't hard and fast rules, mind you, any stories pertaining to these
roads should be included, i.e.: "I lost my virginity in the park along Green
river just a mile west of Smithville"... well you get my drift. :)
