Rear View Mirror

Wanted one BROKEN rear view mirror 70-80 MGB!! 

The part I need is the piece that fastens to the wind screen, not the arm or
the mirror part. Can anyone help me out??
I know that I can buy a new mirror. But, you see, I just want to change the
position of the mirror. In other words I am making one with a shorter arm so
that it is not in my line of sight when I look to the right. I would like to
do this without destroying the mirror I have.
