AInspection takes several hours, cost $50-70, and is probably

My 1964 LandRover failed the test once because the black digits (on the
yellow licence plates) were not black enough..
(What has THAT to do with safety? Answers on a post card, please, to....)
One of our company cars failed every year because of worn-out door hinges.
The dealership invariably put new fulcrum pins on the inspection bill but the
free play always remained the same.
Next thing you know the car will fail the test because the ash tray is full...
