The difference in mounting positions for the voltage stabilizer must have
depended on the day of the week or who was on the line that day. the location
of mine next to the hood release appears to be original based on the paint
footprint under it. I have seen at least one other car with the voltage
stabilizer in the same place. This again goes against all those who restore
their cars to what they call "original factory". Hell, original factory could
mean anything.
For those of you with it hidden behind the tach, there should be enough wire to
relocate it to a more accessable location.
