Preaching to the choir here i know but today i was more grateful than
usual for having three cars...
My 69 is in pieces receiving an overdrive and paint 120 miles from home
The 72 received A arm bushings this week and had the front shocks topped
off in preparation for the weekend - problem is the carbs(HIFs) are just
not responding to anything! - A learned friend felt strongly that my
idle-missing-dying problem was that the mixture was way too rich which
jived with what else was happening - easy you think, lean them out. -
well this made things demonstrably worse - even a couple of flats and it
wouldnt run at all, floats are free and dont seem to have any problems,
clean filters, plugs, points - all the usuals, dashpots full, needles
straight, new grose jets last year (all suggestions at this point
gratefully received)
Well here it is friday, two cars laid up so despite the weather being
almost perfect top down days its...................GT TIME!!!!!!! hehe
I know im lucky to have three of them but just goes to show, one is never
enough!!
