Becky

If your switches are working you can clean them up with a tooth brush
and refill the engraving with a stick paint available from craft
stores.  Just rub it on let it dry for a short while and rub the
excess off with a rag.  The best stuff to use is from a company that
makes engraving machines, New Hermes (SP).  Any shop that makes
plastic engraved name badges should be able to get you some.  I used
this stuff on my Midget and the switches look new.  Cost about $4.
