Well, dag gum it....I had my heart set on being done with the B by the
middle of next week, but unfortunately, the shop that has my bumpers has
told me that they won't be ready until the first of the next week. In
addition to that I had sent my dash in for some custom wood work and
found out that it too has been delayed for another week or so :-(
Anyway, I finally managed to get the Moss carpet kit installed, sure
would have been nice if they had been considerate enough to enclose some
instructions. Looks logical enough, however there were some pieces that
were tough to figure out proper location for. Funny thing is that when
I called them about this, they suggested I call VB and ask them to send
their instructions....
The new wire wheels and new tires are mounted and the knock-offs have
been rechromed. Boy oh boy, this looks TREMENDOUS! Bought a small roll
of carpet and insulation for the trunk and had much better luck
installing this myself. If I had it to do over again, I don't think I
would have purchased the kit for the interior carpet! I have not
replaced the windshield yet...I've been waiting for the new dash..but
now I am wondering, is that the best way to go...dash then
windshield??? Or does it really make a difference?
BTW...I was recently told by another female that my hobby is pretty
pathetic...sure glad I can be pathetic....makes my life a whole lot more
enjoyable....I truly feel sorry for some of you who's SO haven't the
sense to appreciate this 'pathetic' hobby. I guess because I love the
MG, I really didn't realize how much Sh_t you must take because of the
narrow mindedness of some women who are obviously lacking in a true
appreciation of the joys that life and love for a british car, and the
people who love them, can bring into an otherwise sad existence.
Keep going the miles and wearing the smiles...I'm hoping to soon be
joining the lucky ones who are already road happy!!!!
