How to Power Tune MGB 4-cylinder engines by Peter Burgess
Clausager's is a must-read and have, of course, but the Burgess book is also
a really great book! If you don't have this one, you'll find it answers many
questions (for a reasonable price) I've seen posted for Bs. I would really
recommend it for a reference to take to the machine shop if you don't have
your machine work done at an MG specialist. I'm no expert, but the diagrams,
dimensions, etc, could save some heartache for those of us who are "out of
range" from the MG experts.
Original MGB answers many others questions too! Nice to see that my '73
interior is "original"! Just don't look at the missing ashtray and the
electrical tape hiding torn seams on the console and seats (those are
original too) as well as other places. Hey it's a rolling restoration!
The rest of my collection goes like this:

MGB Purchase and Restoration Guide, by Lindsay Porter
MGB Owner's Survival Manual by Jim Tyler
And a ton of catalogs laying everywhere else in the house (Moss, VB,
Brit-Tek, Motorhead, Proper MG, NW Imports, Hemmings)

No, I really need to spend my cash on parts again...new suspension bits
(pawleeeuurethane), top, interior, new hood (bonnet), new trunk (boot) lid,
paint job, a Waxoyl kit, stainless hardware.....hehe
Can you tell I'm enyoying my enthusiasm? Can you hear the sucking sound from
my paycheck? Your US tax dollars at work (I earn every penny, take heart).
