>I went to the local discount auto parts store and asked for the smallest

>to take the emissions test with the catalyst on the car the readings were
>75% lower than the test I had taken a few days earlier without it. I had to

>problems with it and I don't notice any of the heat from a hot catalyst
>right under my feet. The catalyst cost me $85, but the results are dramatic
>and the car is now legal. I think as more states change their laws and
>people with modified post-'74 lbc's get stuck in the predicament I was in,
>this may be the quickest, cheapest way to get legal.
Now, if you live in a state where they do visual inspections, will they
care if
the cat is not in the right spot?
They may open the hood of my B and not find it there, and then just fail me?
