Bill....I've enjoyed reading your posts in recent months, but have to take
issue with this one. Moss products are not "CRAP". Some of their products
are not up to the standard that we would like them to be, but - by and
large - Moss offers many thousands of perfectly adequate products without
which there would be far fewer LBCs still on the road.

There have been complaints about the quality of their chrome and their
rubber products. As a busy restoration shop owner, and as an ex-Moss
employee, I have been - and continue to be - very vocal in my criticism to
them of parts that I deem unsatisfactory. However, as I said above, by and
large, what they sell is perfectly adequate for the job. Without Moss's
having spent the many hundreds of thousands of dollars they have invested in
tooling, etc., to reproduce obsolete parts, there would be a lot of
incomplete cars around.

So, please don't make broad statements such as "Moss products are CRAP"
unless you can prove that every part you have ever bought from them did not
fit, did not work, has failed prematurely in service, or has been woefully
inadequate in one way or another.

And, no, I am not still on Moss's payroll. I just know that I would not have
been able to restore as many show-winning cars, nor make so many people
happy with a well-running, good-looking car, had Moss Motors not been in
business.
