My turn - I agree with Ben and Lawrie.
I know 2 Miata owners. They are both former LBC owners (in their lost
youth) and wanted to again enjoy the fun of a roadster, but didn't want
a 30 year old car to take care of. Too bad MG didn't have anything in
the US market. They had no choice - It was Miata or nothing.
Personally, I like the Miata. Sacrilegious it may be, but I'd get one
myself for a daily driver if I didn't work nights in a car-theft prone
neighborhood. Even if the MGF were available here, I'd still choose the
Miata. It looks nicer and is cheaper.
Let the flames begin!
