I was driving my '71 B in a down pour yesterday when the drivers wiper blade
flew off. I stopped and moved the center blade over to the drivers side and
took the center wiper arm off since it no longer had a blade. To my surprise
the two outer wipers worked great by themselves. That center wiper is useless
(except maybe as a spare part for the outer ones)!
Well, my question is: Does anyone have a tip on how to prevent the blade from
coming off the arm? As far as I can tell it is only held on by friction
provided by a little spring clip. I was thinking of trying a drop of locktite.
I hesitate to glue them on as they have to be replaced periodically.
