More difficult than disassembling welded pieces?
Admittedly, clamps aren't the end-all of removable exhaust systems. But
to a guy like me who doesn't weld, clamps work quite nicely, and you
frequently *can* get the parts back apart unless they've been in place
for a very many years and are completely rusted together. In that case,
you're no worse off than if they'd been welded.
If I were going to swap exhaust a lot (which I'm not), I think I'd
invest in one of those jigs that put the round back into an oval'ed
exhaust pipe. (Actually called an expander I think.) They cost about
$20 at your local parts store. Make sure you get the right one for the
size of your pipes.
