Mike,
Mine has one, and it isn't attached by any glue, thanks to the fact that I
grabbed at it to figure out what the hell it was when I was doing the
initial tech inspection...
It didn't make a difference, since that cap is molded to the original.
Unless you are prone to passengers grabbing the dash for a fingerhold in a
tight hairpin (no Oh S**t handles on a B)...
a)Pop it on, then glue it in if you like with a non-destructive glue/sticky
stuff - not a permanent one. It won't go anywhere either way.
This saves the dash for future technologies
b)Pretty up the defroster vents and "qtip" the edge next to the windshield
to match...no one will know...unless you're trying for Pebble Beach. I can't
help you there. :)
c) Drink a beer, then sleep, upon awakening on a sunny spring morn......
c) Drive it!
