Bob, When I rebuilt my TD, it had no spacers between the firewall and the footrest. Only a couple of bolts, lockwashers, flatwashers and nuts. The lower end was fastened with wood screws, either two or three. They went through the main rug to hold it in place and the flap on the footrest covering is glued in place to hide the wood screw heads. Jim |
