Had the BGT out today for the first real drive. It was a *beautiful* day
here in the NC mountains.
A couple of questions:
1) What's a likely cause for the fuel pump's running on and on instead
of running briefly and then shutting down when the bowls are full? (If
the car has sat overnight, it also takes a lot of cranking before the
engine catches.)
2) What's a likely cause for irregular misfiring when *not* under load
that smoothes out under full throttle. This was after 5 miles, and the
engine was well warmed up and the choke all the way off. This problem
seemed to have cleared up after I'd driven about fifteen miles. It has
Allison electronic ignition.
I'd appreciate any comments.
