Hi Boris,
  The pump is "supposed" to fall out into your face.  It's often stuck.  
  Check in the shop manual to see what it looks like. Note the roller at
the top. Now, wiggle your fingers around to feel the lobe on the gear
shaft as you turn the driveshaft with your other hand. That lobe is
supposed to push on the roller and pump the pump.
  In my car, I found that the DPO or someone had installed the pump 180
degrees out. There is a front and a back to it, but the differences are
slight. The side pieces between which the roller turns are different, one
is thicker.    I had to slip little wedges in between the lobe and the
roller, then turn the driveshaft by hand, to push the pump out of its
bore and into my face.
  Once out, it's easy to replace the o-rings.
