Bud,
Thanks for your help on the battery information. You told me basically what
I already knew, I was hoping someone had some miracle solution that I
wasn't aware of.
I do have another question on the TD. It appears that my engine isn't
sitting correctly in the car. This winter I have been disassembling the
car, I have removed everything surrounding the engine so far (except the
tub) and am trying to figure out what is wrong. I don't see anything that
is obviously incorrect. My assumption is that the engine is either:
a. sitting to far forward.
b. leaning to the right
c. sitting to far to the right
My reasons for believing that I have one or more of the above problems is
because when the original style air intake manifold is bolted to the
carburetors it hits the bonnet (hood) side panel and the thermostat housing
does not line up with the top opening in the radiator.
I'm looking for some measurements or any other information that would help
me see where and how the engine is located incorrectly in relation to the
frame and the tub. I would like to solve this problem before I remove the
engine from the frame.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
