Took the newly rejuvenated 77B on the road this weekend for a much too
short ride for the first time. For those who haven't been paying
attention, I spent a bit of time over the winter upgrading the powerplant
in my RBB.
The engine specs are now as follows:
9 : 1 Compression ratio
Piper BP 270 Cam
Lucas Eurospec Distributor and Sports coil
Weber DGV Carb
Non-Smogged engine
I have only put 15 miles on the motor since the upgrades, so I am still
taking it easy until the new rings bed in, but I can say with certainty
that there is now a very direct relationship between the movement of the
accelerator pedal, and the acceleration of the car, somthing that wasn't
there before.
I'll report more as the weather allows me to get the car on the road more
often, but so far, I thinks it's money well spent.
